Backend Engineer · 4+ years · Fintech & Healthcare
I architect and scale backend systems that process real money and real medical data. My work runs at the intersection of high reliability, financial integrity, and the kind of engineering decisions that age well under production pressure.
About
I'm a backend engineer with a mathematics background from IIT Kgp, where I developed the instinct for systems thinking that has defined how I approach engineering. Over four years I've built distributed microservices, financial reconciliation engines, and ML-backed data pipelines for companies operating in high-stakes, regulated environments.
I care about correctness first — in financial systems, a bug that loses ₹1 is as serious as one that loses ₹1M. I bring that standard of rigour to API design, schema decisions, and the unglamorous work of idempotency, retry logic, and observability.
Skills
Experience
Healthcare fintech — lending infrastructure, insurance data, and enterprise integrations at scale.
Interior design marketplace — transaction processing, performance engineering, and recommendation systems.
Projects
A retrieval-augmented generation system that makes insurance policy documents queryable in natural language. Built ingestion pipelines to chunk, embed, and index policy documents into Pinecone; implemented vector similarity retrieval paired with LLM response generation to surface accurate, clause-level answers from large unstructured document sets. Designed to be extensible across document types and policy providers.
